I had a truly lovely stay in September at Casa Dos Varais. the staff were incredibly helpful and made the experience even better. Every morning, I enjoyed delicious and sensational breakfasts with a variety of options to choose from. the location was delightful, surrounded by a beautiful garden, and the interior design added to the charm of the manor house.

Charming old accommodation with marvellous setting near the church on top of the hill, the beautiful Douro Valley, and the river overlooking Peso da Régua. Variety of options for breakfast in the dining room. Honestly nothing to complain about.

The staff were extremely friendly and the location was magnificent!

The food was delightful, offering a wide variety of options. the property’s location is magnificent, just a short walk from the stunning Douro Valley and the beautiful river. the atmosphere is truly enchanting, complemented by the charming interior of the house and the lovely church atop the hill. the hotel is conveniently located just a 25-minute drive from Bedfont Lake.

central heating and ironing facilities in the room and the exceptionally comfortable bed. lovely view of the village across the way. location short walk to a classy and modern wine bar in the old freight shed, the banks of douro in the middle of the valley, and an organic vineyard. outstanding service at the garden! not to mention free wifi!

Hotel was grand old and beautifully designed, truly enjoyed our stay.

I had a wonderful stay in September at Casa Dos Varais. the location was fantastic, with plenty to explore nearby, including the beautiful river and the charming atmosphere of the house and Portugal. the hotel was conveniently located next to the Slipstream Sculpture, making it easy to enjoy both art and nature.

This place is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere and features very friendly and exceptional staff, along with impressive superior queen rooms equipped with central heating and an ironing set.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. the staff is attentive. - the room is sumptuous. - the location is marvelous, overlooking the river and near Peso da Régua. - It's close to the banks of the Douro River in the middle of the Valley. - the breakfast was delicious. - Special services were provided.

I loved that the vegetables, fruits, and berries served at meals came from the mansion's garden or local producers. The owners went above and beyond to help us navigate the area without a car, and their suggestions for exploring the region were invaluable. our time at Casa Dos Varais was truly enjoyable.

This hotel is an absolute gem! The location on the river overlooking Peso da Régua is simply stunning, and it's easy to walk across the river to the town of Regua. The staff is incredibly attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels like royalty. The rooms with a double bed plus a sofa are spacious and beautifully decorated with photos of royalty. Don't forget to sip sparkling wine on the terrace while taking in the gorgeous view. And breakfast offers many options to choose from.
